Patna: Justice Jitendra Mohan Sharma of the Patna high court on Wednesday rejected the regular bail petition of former RJD MP Mohd Shahabuddin in a case pertaining to the murder of a witness to the killing of two brothers 11 years ago in Siwan district.
A special Siwan court had on December 10, 2015 convicted the ex-MP and awarded him life imprisonment in the infamous case of murder of two brothers, sons of a Siwan businessman, by bathing them with acid in 2004.
The two brothers -- Girish and Satish -- were allegedly abducted and killed by Shahabuddin's supporters after a prolonged tiff with the duo's father, Chandrakeshwar Prasad alias Chanda Babu, over the possession of his shops in the main Siwan market. Rajesh, the brother of Girish and Satish, who was an eyewitness in the case, was also later killed.
